How I Sleep Really Well

Sleep can sometimes be a tricky thing.  

But right now, sleep is one of my all time best friends.  

I mean, if you think about it, sleep is really crucial. 

Ever pulled an all nighter and thought you were okay the next day....until you weren't?

The body repairs and detoxes during the hours of 10pm-2am.  This means that if you skip sleeping or even just resting during this time, the body will not fully regenerate or get the rest it needs to be there the next day, ready to rock it.

So here's how I tuck in and shut down at the end of the day.  

Just like my Mac ;)

Around 9:30-10:00pm I head to bed.  I sometimes run a diffuser with Lavender or another calming essential oil, whatever I feel like.

Lately I've been drinking a warm whole milk, sometimes mixed with a teaspoon of turmeric.  

Turmeric has SO MANY benefits!  Did you know it's a natural sleep aid?

I also NEVER sleep with my phone or anything that could disturb my sleep.  Just having my phone in the room at night makes me crazy for some reason.

So rest up -- your body will thank you for it!
