The word Accountability has been coming up a lot for me lately.
Did you know that in Finland they don't even use this word? That's because they consider the word responsibility to be so strong and important that they have no use for the word Accountability, because it should never be needed.
To them Accountability comes after NOT being Responsible.
Here's the definition: Merriam-Webster definition of Accountability is "The quality or state of being accountable; especially: an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.
Today I think it's vital to be Accountable for your own actions and choices.
Right now I'm holding myself Accountable to waking up at 5am to get that early morning time I need before everyone else wakes up.
So I can write.
So I can take a few minutes to catch my breath.
Sip my hot water with lemon.
Set my intentions for this New Day.
How are you holding yourself Accountable?
And most importantly – what's your BIG WHY?
One of my big reasons is this note my daughter wrote for me. It sits next to my clock by my writing desk as a reminder of the reason I hold myself Accountable for every minute of my day.
Pure unconditional joy, love and all the experiences I want to share with her and those I love.
What's your reason?
Enjoy this New Day,
