This morning I watched the incredible speech given by Oprah Winfrey at the Golden Globes last night, as she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award.
“What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have. I’m especially proud and inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories.” – Oprah Winfrey
The words Speak Your Truth especially rang true for me. As I work with my private clients and in my own creative projects – even this blog post, one thing sticks out to me now:
Your Voice Matters.
As we live out our days during this time on the planet, you have to ask yourself at some point; what am I doing all of this for? And from there, what do I have to say now?
So, how exactly do you speak your truth?
Speaking your truth doesn't only mean speaking up, although it's an essential part in your personal growth and that of our world.
It also means something that is a bit tough to swallow for many of us.
And that's this:
To BE unapologetically You.
Stand your ground.
Ask the tough questions.
Feed your soul with what lights you up.
Leave the naysayers behind.
Turn yourself onto to your WHOLE BEING.
And just BE You.
With all of your faults and learning curves, ideas and fears.
BE YOU NOW.
No one else who will do it for you.
And the world needs You now. #SpeakYourTruth
