Looking Back to Look Forward

Right now as we start to close out the month of February, I'm reminded of how fast time can pass, and what happens if we don't take the time to look around and take notice.

In the words of Ferris Bueller:

"Life moves pretty fast.  If you don't look around once and awhile, you could miss it."

Today's message is about taking the time to see where you've been so far this year, where you're headed, and where you REALLY want to go.

It's time to be really honest with yourself.

Will what I'm doing and working on day in and day out get me to where I ultimately want to be?

As in – what's your end game?  I'm talking big picture and small goals.

If you're living day to day not thinking about the big picture and don't even have the slightest idea of where you want to end up, and you're thinking that if you just enjoy the ride, it will all work out – well, I'm sorry to say that it probably won't.

Now you're probably thinking, "What? I thought I was supposed to be really present and enjoy each moment and let my life flow naturally???"

Well, yes.  But no.

If you just let each day flow with no outcome or result in mind for the big picture, you'll most likely keep getting what you've got.

On the other hand, if you take a bit of time to set clear results and outcomes for yourself, then you'll most likely achieve them..and don't forget that you can still be in flow and enjoy each moment being really present to your daily life AND have big goals and dreams set for yourself with clear action steps and results to take along the way.
